"Great things come from small beginnings..."
Indeed. This is the cliche that would always cross my mind whenever I look at the multitude of action figures posed in my cab. It all started way back in 2002: I was just having my usual stroll at one of our local malls when I decided to go to the toys department, wanting to take a quick look at some "eye candies" that reminded me of my hobby back when I was a kid.
Then something caught my eye - a beautiful 6-inch model of Rinoa Heartilly, one of the characters of the Final Fantasy games. I grabbed the packaged figure, and though having some hesitations, I decided to make my first toy purchase in years, saying to myself "Just this one...". I went home, and looking at my haul I was quite happy with it, took it out of the package and eagerly displayed it on my table.
But then I thought, "What if I'll have some more?". From that moment on, I was (though unknowingly) treading the path of an action figure collector. Then hundreds of figures (and a whole lot of bucks) later, I am now marvelling at the sight of my most prized collections.
I have created this blog with the purpose of sharing my action figure collecting passion with my readers, fellow collectors and visitors alike. They'll be seeing some toy reviews (Marvel, DC, Joes, Transformers, etc.), as well as some other cool and interesting "geek stuff".
